Welcome to the Whitefish Chain Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous website.

The purpose of this website is to share some of the past years photos taken by Bob Burnett and to update you on the next year’s show. The show always takes place on the 4th Saturday in July, with the Skippers Dinner on Friday night at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant and Bar on the corner of CR-16 and CR-66 in Crosslake Minnesota.

This tradition started 22-years ago by my Father, Greg Harrison and my Mother, Virginia Harrison. My Father had grown up on Trout Lake and always had a love for these wooden boats. In 1988 he got together with some of his other wooden boat buddies and started the show at Manhattan Beach lodge, formally known as “The brothers”. After 5-years running the show, his cousin Dennis Madigan and his wife Judy took over the show and made it into one of the top shows in the country and certainly one of the biggest events in the North Country. Now my wife and I are Co-Chairs with Denny and Judy and will continue the fine tradition of the Whitefish Chain Antique Boat Show.

Volunteers play a very important role in the success of this Boat Show. From the information both, to helping launch boats before the show and loading after, to our famous Dock Crews that help the Skippers dock their boat, and manage the docks. If you want to be a volunteer at the show, please call and we’ll get you in.

So if you have an “An old Woddie” please enter it in the show. Last year we had 78-boats with some being only of a few left in the world for its model. John Collier makes some of the best trophies in the business so you must enter in order to have a chance at one of these originals. History shows that this weekend has the best summer weather so the BBQ and beer are going strong. The admission to the public is free so stop by any time. The show starts at 9:00 am with award presentations at 3:00 and the famous “Fly-By” at 4:00. Participants must register with me prior to the show. We look forward to seeing everybody there. All my contact information is at the bottom. Please feel free to call myself or Denny at anytime.
